Gear on! because this story sums up my professional life so far.

It’s been six years to my graduation & I have started my own agency, game studio & worked with almost 1000 clients and our game & apps are being used by around 10 million people around the globe, but…

The one thing that I regret the most is not working at a startup, let me tell you why.

Working freelance & learning from YouTube and blogs is a good thing and a superpower for every other person in tech, but you will get stuck at one point and there will be no forum, certification or your course coach who can get you out of it… but a guy somewhere in the world who has solved it years ago, and that guy will be your founder, manger or a great leader leading your team, company or maybe your CEO. They have solved so many problems that you can’t imagine, off course you can, you might be running your own startup by now and thinking of switching to a job… but not that fast.

In my case, I have earned a handsome amount, streamlined processes of my previous passionate projects so that they can work seamlessly without my interruption and I can work on what I love the most.

I asked a friend and trained him to help me with my freelance projects, once he was up to the mark, I helped him hire the team and understand the full process & now he is running the whole operations and we are partners. I mentor him whenever he needs help and send me my share & I don’t have to work a minute, smart, huh? No it’s not enough.

I now have a good stream which can support me but as a passionate founders, we always want to do something unique which always end up to a stage that we need money & we don’t have enough and we don’t have rich friends to bootstrap us. This is where you startup job comes into hand..

Believe me, I have learned so much in 2 months of a job that I couldn’t by running my own games & apps studio in 3 years, but they are not a waste, my studio is why I am at a good point in job where I can interact with the CEO directly, work on our product roadmaps forms scratch, hire new team mates & help them onboard and explain what we are doing & why we are doing, most importantly why they should be as motivated as I or my CEO are?

I learned about a totally different side of tech, i.e telco tech & how we are connected. I learned from my mentor on why we need so many people & who can do better at what they do.
And maybe this is just my story, maybe you get successful early, I hope so. I was successful until I met our CEO & my mentor who teach me so many things a day that I can’t keep up.

We are successful in our own circle and it’s not the end of the circle, find a startup where you can work with amazing and creative leadership style people who helps you each step of the way. And they are like Mentor to you. Even if you need help with something totally different then what you are doing, if they are eager to teach you that, believe me you are going to love your job… And never be conservative on the topic that you are from one field and switching to a new filed, it makes you much more better at what they do when you mix up the whole experience.

This is it, this is me from the last two months thinking of sharing it… I hope it helps you and you like it and I would love to connect. So get connected on Linkedin and let’s have a chat sometime, I accept all the connect request ;)

best of luck, you can clap this article 50 times and it’ll help this article reach to my mentor and make him happy. That’s it, signing offf ;)
